Echo-Inator

A physical interface that mimics human movements.

This was a course submission. Our task was creating physical interfaces related to a certain topic. Our topic was "Echo".

The idea was a physical interface, using Arduinos, that is capable of recognizing and "echoing" movements made by users.

Users move the orange lever upwards or downwards which leads to the blue lever being moved upwards or downwards as well, depending on the users’ input.

Poster design about the functionality of the “Echo-Inator”.

This project was a group effort by my group partner and me.

My job was writing the necessary Arduino code, building a mechanism for the ultrasonic sensor to detect motion and the servo motors to change the position of the blue lever and finally creating the first, provisional, version of our projects' trailer.

My partners' job was building a box prototype, creating the final trailer for our submission and designing the introduction poster. We both worked together on merging the technical components, box design ideas and the box itself.

Finally, both of us built the final box together and presented our work.
